P.E. classes open for home school kids

KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering physical education classes for home schooled students two days a week at the V.O. Dobbins Community Center.

The classes will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., from Sept 3 through Oct. 12. Children and teens ages six to 18 can attend and the cost of the six-week session is $15 per child.

According to a press release, the classes are designed to help promote fitness and activities for home school children with each class focusing on learning new agilities and drills for motor skill development. Classes will also consist of a fun and exciting team game or sport.
