P.E. classes offered for Pre-K kids

KINGSPORT — The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department will be offering physical education classes for pre-kindergarten aged children through the end of November.

According to a press release, the classes will be held at the V.O. Dobbins Community Center from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays through Nov. 30. Parents can register children ages 3 to 5 at a cost of $2 per class.

The classes are designed for children this age and will help them focus on learning new games and developing motor skills. Each 45 minute class will teach agility, include fun games and plenty of running.

Renee Ensor, with parks and recreation, said if the classes are successful the department will offer a late winter/spring session next year.
